"Teaching Aid" Prototype 1

This original "learning machine" was just a card holder made out of plastic, with electrical contact screws, wires, two electrical probes, and a green light. When the probes made electrical contact, the light lit up.

Handmade learning cards had holes punched in them. If the learner placed probes on matching choices, the green light would signal success.

A variety of cards were made, including multiple choice question cards. One probe was placed on the question and the other was used to select one of several possible answers.
